Fermentis SafLager SH-45, 11.5 g

SafLager SH-45 is a carefully selected lager yeast, ideal for expressing some of the aromatic compounds coming from the raw materials in beer, more specifically the hops. This strain possesses the capability to release and esterify Glutathione-bound thiols trough biotransformation. As a result, beers crafted with SafLager SH-45 may present enhanced levels of fruitiness and intensified citrus and tropical notes.

SafLager SH-45 is the first natural (non-GMO) thiol lager yeast that is able to liberate bound thiols from hops. Suitable for, but not limited to, modern hoppy lager beer styles such as India Pale Lager (IPL), Cold IPA, West Coast and NZ pilsner.
