‘Kveik’ is a Norwegian dialect term for yeast and is derived from the old Norse ‘kvikk' meaning vigorous and fast, the context being healthy and lively. Kveik yeast are fast fermenting (48 - 72 hr) and high temperature tolerant.

For typical Norwegian Farmhouse ales plus a wide range of classic and contemporary ale styles including American IPA and NEIPA, hazy pale ales, blondes and lagers.

Imparts a fruity flavour profile of soft orange peel and citrus.

Typical dosage: 50 - 80 g/hl of cooled wort at 34-40°C

Attenuation: 75-80 %
Alcohol tolerance: 16 %
Flocculation: high
Optimum fermentation temperature: 34-40 °C
