Description

Article no.: 150652C

SafSour LP 652 has been specifically selected by Fermentis for its capabilities to provide tropical, citrus and fruity notes, with a refreshing sourness, when used in kettle souring. Can be used for sour beer styles as Berliner Weisse, Gose and more.

SafSour LP 652 is a homofermentative lactic acid bacteria (produces CO2 and acetic acid in addition to lactic acid). Ideal for kettle sour beer recipes, with the potential of bringing down the pH to 3.2 - 3.6.

Should be added to un-hopped wort since the bacteria has low tolerance to the alpha acids of hops. Add directly to 37 °C wort.

Dosage: 10 grams per 100 liters

Ingredients: Lactobacillus plantarum Lp652, Maltodextrin as a carrier

Optimum fermentation temperature: 34 - 40 °C (93 - 104 °F)
Producer: Fermentis
