E-30 produces higher levels of esters than other SafLager strains, but not at the levels of fruity ale strains. Higher fermentation temperatures promotes the production of subtle isoamyl acetate. This yeast can be suitable for light lager styles such as Asian-style, American or Mexican lagers.

Optimum fermentation temperature: 12-18 °C
