Description

Article no.: 647015

CO2 Hop Extract is a pure resin extract of hops containing hop oils, beta acids and alpha acids. One can contains 150 grams of alpha acids (0.15 KgA).
The extract is added early in the kettle boil to achieve clean bitterness, with isomerization occuring as for a normal hop addition. Produced from the hop variety Pilgrim.

A tin can with 150 grams of alpha acids is equivalent to 1,5 kg of hops with 10% alpha acids. The total weight in the tin can may vary but it always contains 150 grams of alpha acids at 100 % concentration.

Primarily used as a kettle hop ingredient to provide “clean” bitterness and slight hop character to beer.
Add the CO2 Hop Extract in wort early during kettle boil for bitterness. Flush the extract out with hot wort in the brew kettle or in specific by-pass dosing systems.

Use Rate Calculations (at 35 % isomerisation rate):

KgA = (BU x hL) / 3500

Where: KgA = Kg of alpha acids to add in the brew kettle
BU = is the desired amount of bitter units in the finished beer
hL = hectoliter of finished beer

Use rates may vary depending on the brewing process and the desired hopping level.

Store in a cool area 10 - 25 °C.
