Belgian Ales, wheat beers and witbiers.
Developed at the Hop Research Center in Hüll, Germany and released to the public in 2002. Saphir is very similar to Hallertauer Mittlefruh in many ways but is more disease resistant.
Aroma: Floral and herbal with a taste of tangerine.
Origin: Tyskland
Typical values:
Alpha acid (correct alpha value is printed on the package): 2 - 5 %
Cohumulone: 12 - 17 %
Total oils: 0,8 - 1,4 ml / 100 g
Possible replacements: Hallertauer Mittlefruh
